Winter Inspiration
The winter season pairs perfectly with Willowdale’s natural color palate of rich browns, blush, deep shades of red and greenery with gold embellishments. Picking the perfect decor and accent pieces will really enhance the charming, rustic elegance of the mansion.
Our inspiration for this winter styled shoot was the organic materials all around the property – stone, deep wooden textures, and the forest. Those natural textures blend so well with romantic candlelight, winter wine tones, and more bohemian elements like furs, antlers and fruit. We wanted to bring in elements that would evoke the feeling of being at home through the use of mix matched china in warm tones, amber goblets, and copper mugs.
We love how well everything ties together. The bouquets and centerpieces of combined dried and fresh flowers compliment the brown of the pears and the mixed metallics of the lanterns, candle holders, utensils, plates, and mugs. Using a rich tone like the wine colored ribbons, flowers, and invitations provides a moody and dramatic contrast to the warmer tones. The smallest details can make a huge impact!
