Recap: Solstice Soiree Signature Event
Last week we celebrated the longest day of the year with our brand new summer event, Solstice Soirée! In the spirit of the solstice, we had flower crowns, our fire pit, lawn games, and live music from Business Time. Food and drinks included seasonal New England favorites, an ice cream truck from Perfect Parties USA, and rosé sangria for a signature drink.
Guests enjoyed some new summertime creations for passed appetizers like our grilled zucchini and feta crostini, baked oyster with garlic butter and thyme, and beet salad with lemon and goat cheese. The main course featured a seafood boil station with clams, calamari, and shrimp with boiled potatoes, corn, and andouille sausage AND a cook-out station with burgers, dogs, potato salad, pasta salad, caprese salad, and summer salad.
Besides the beautiful flower crowns, Maia Mattson created custom copper vases with florals for centerpiece décor and copper-framed floral backdrop. She also installed giant paper flowers around our pergola and living wall. These may look familiar from the installation she did for the Gordon College Senior Brunch.
We’re very excited to add this to our list of signature events and look forward to kicking off summer again next year!
