Recap: Big Fake Wedding New England
At end of summer, Willowdale Estate hosted Big Fake Wedding New England for the third time! This year’s greenhouse-inspired theme involved organic floral arrangements, an earthy palette with colors like fern, aloe, rosemary, orchid, and clay, and of course our garden courtyard backdrop. This lush, casual vibe makes for a lively setting to say your vows.
The garden courtyard ceremony had a unique backdrop as the focal point. This metal frame was composed of floating palettes and draping greenery and florals. Each table under the tent had a beautiful and unique display. There was a mix of floral and non-floral centerpieces. Many of the tablescapes included lots of greenery including moss and succulents, gold accents, and earthy tones with pops of pink and purple.
The wedding party sported a more casual but fashionable vibe. The bride wore a sleeveless, A-line lace gown and the bridesmaids wore floor-length, spaghetti strap teal dresses. The groom wore a blue undershirt and shoes with a brown plaid suit. The groomsmen had khaki pants with a brown vest and blue undershirt to match the groom. And of course, boutonnieres and bouquets to match the theme.
