Real Wedding: Jasmine & Tom
Jasmine and Tom’s non-traditional fall wedding style was filled with modern elegance and rustic charm. Their ceremony took place off-site at St. Mary Star of the Sea church, followed by cocktail hour and a tent reception at Willowdale Estate.
Jasmine wore an A-line Berta dress with an illusion sabrina neckline, latticework details, beautiful embroidery, and glitzy tulle skirt. Tom sported a black and white tux with a peak lapel, a black bowtie, and black studs and cufflinks. The bridesmaids wore pale pink, floor-length dresses and the groomsmen matched Tom’s style.
It was important to the couple to include as many personal touches as possible by using hand-crafted elements. They created a seating chart arbor made of copper pipe and fabric, displayed framed family photos, and Jasmine hand wrote the table numbers and escort cards!
Avoiding heavy use of whites and pinks, Jasmine and Tom chose darker tones and rich colors to create a unique color palette for their florals, tablescapes, and cake. Their florist, The Wild Dahlia, described it as: “We wanted it to feel rich and romantic, a little dark with an old age Gatsby vibe.” Wine-tones, dusty rose, pale blue, and mauve colors helped achieve this look. Tablescape details included navy suede linens from PEAK, black taper candles, blue floral print napkins, flower-pressed paper table numbers, and fruit accents. The also had a custom gold metal structure for the head table to drape southern smilax and hang rustic lighting.
With so many thoughtful details, it’s easy to get lost in the beauty of their wedding. Jasmine and Tom’s most memorable moment was when they were dancing. “At one point we stopped and looked around at all of our guests dancing and said, ‘Wow. This is amazing. Everyone we love is here right now… for us.’”
