PANTONE’s 2018 Color of the Year: Ultra Violet
PANTONE recently revealed their 2018 color of the year – Ultra Violet! Leatrice Eisman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute, talks about the inspiration behind this vibrant purple. “We are living in a time that requires inventiveness and imagination. It is this kind of creative inspiration that is indigenous to PANTONE 18-3838 Ultra Violet, a blue-based purple that takes our awareness and potential to a higher level. From exploring new technologies and the greater galaxy, to artistic expression and spiritual reflection, intuitive Ultra Violet lights the way to what is yet to come.”
Here at Willowdale, we find the meaning behind this color truly inspirational. It is incredibly important for us to be constantly inventive and push creativity for every event. Even though Willowdale Estate does not have shades of purple in the mansion, Ultra Violet perfectly complements the greens and natural earth tones of the Estate. We’ve had many past events that have incorporated this color into the foods, flowers, and clothing.
