PANTONE Color of the Year 2023: Viva Magenta
PANTONE announced their 2023 color of the year – Viva Magenta (PANTONE 18-1750). Leatrice Eisman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute, talks about the inspiration behind this color. “In this age of technology, we look to draw inspiration from nature and what is real. PANTONE 18-1750 Viva Magenta descends from the red family, and is inspired by the red of cochineal, one of the most precious dyes belonging to the natural dye family as well as one of the strongest and brightest the world has known.”
Being a historic mansion in the middle of the woods, we find the meaning behind this color truly inspirational. Willowdale Estate’s location and mansion materials all pull from nature. We are located in Bradley Palmer State Park with 720 acres of woods and trails. The estate was built with fieldstone and slate and Viva Magenta perfectly complements the greens and natural earth tones in and around the property. Check out these past weddings for how to incorporate this color into your attire, florals, food, and décor!
