PANTONE Color of the Year 2020: Ultimate Gray & Illuminating
PANTONE announced their 2021 color of the year, and this time there’re two colors – PANTONE 17-5104 Ultimate Gray and PANTONE 13-0647 Illuminating. Leatrice Eisman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute, talks about the inspiration behind thes colors. “The union of an enduring Ultimate Gray with the vibrant yellow Illumination expresses a message of positivity supported by fortitude. Practical and rock solid but at the same time warming and optimistic, this color combination that gives us resilience and hope.”
After this past year, we can see why this color combination was the perfect pick moving in to 2021. Both colors are beautiful on their own or paired together. Ultimate gray is a staple for a neutral palette and Illuminating is the perfect pop color, especially in the Spring!
