Meet the Team – Sarah Boucher
Meet Sarah Boucher, Willowdale Estate’s Director of Sales and Marketing. Sarah joined the team in 2009 as an Event Manager and has since worn many different hats here before taking on the Director role. A graduate of Wenham’s Gordon College in Music Education, Sarah has a wide array of talents and skills that make her an extremely well-rounded employee here at Willowdale Estate.
When asked about her past experiences at Willowdale, she states, “I feel very fortunate to have such a long and diverse experience at Willowdale Estate. When I started in 2009 we had a small staff that was responsible for all of our private and public events. I was able to do a lot of planning and event management but also was responsible for things like ordering all of the soda products and setting up tables before events. I think that having an understanding of all of the hard work and detail that goes into planning and hosting weddings and events helps me understand and represent the business through my current role. I have seen our company grow and improve over the years and I am very proud of that evolution.”
Sarah loves living on Boston’s north shore with her husband and young daughter; they spend a lot of time enjoying their favorite downtown or coastal destinations. When time allows, she serves on various boards and committees, like the planning committee for the Beverly Main Streets Block Party series, as a commissioner with Essex National Heritage, and as a board member with Historic Beverly.

Sarah flourishes in creative environments and when asked to name something creative she engages in outside of Willowdale, she named one of her hobbies as portraiture. For over 12 years, Sarah has been taking portraits of her friends and family with instant cameras, and now more often with whatever camera is on hand. She says, “Although the cameras have changed over the years I still love using an instant camera, and have collected various models over the years. I currently use the Fujifilm Instax Mni 90 Neo Classic which takes a photo the size of a business card. These days, portrait mode on the iPhone is pretty fun to play with too!”
When asked to take a trip down memory lane to dig up her fondest memory of Willowdale, Sarah highlighted the ribbon cutting of The Coach House here at Willowdale Estate that was partnered with our Roaring 20’s 5th Anniversary party in 2012. Sarah says, “I had a great time planning both events; it was very exciting to start the day highlighting the restoration of The Coach House and ending the night with a fun themed party. Planning the event, dressing up like a flapper, getting just the right entertainment, and even the seeing all of the fun photos after it was over was a such a treat!”
Sarah’s intelligence, charm, and endless wit add a wonderful element to our team and we are grateful to have her. She is an inspiring team member and when asked to highlight what inspires her at work, she says, “I think being surrounded by such a visually rich and beautiful place is very inspiring. My work is collaborative and I love helping my team reach a goal or complete a big project. One of the best things about my job now is translating everything I’ve experienced about our weddings and events and communicating that to the general public through our event offerings, photos, writing, and our public events.”
