How to Make Events More Kid-Friendly
Hosting a wedding, corporate/social event, birthday party, or shower? Will there be children attending? Here are some services and ideas that Willowdale Estate offers to help make your event more kid-friendly and a great family experience.
Willowdale offers a variety of lawn games for both adults and kids to take part! Choose three different games from a variety of choices to be set up like can jam, croquet, ping pong, ladder ball, giant jenga, corn hole, and more! Or incorporate a photo booth with fun props for all guests to enjoy, regardless of age.
One advantage to having three hospitality suites at our property is that we can offer babysitting services for part or all of your event. Have the ease of mind knowing that your children are upstairs being cared for while you attend the event and have the flexibility to check-in at any point.
This next one may be obvious and mostly pertains to weddings, but let your kids, nieces, nephews, etc. be a part of your special day. Have a ring bearer or flower girl or both! If they’re feeling brave, let them give a speech at your reception. Including them into your event will leave a lasting memory.
Make sure to incorporate some kid-friendly menu options. We offer kids meals which include options like grilled cheese and chicken fingers. Opt for some fun appetizers during cocktail hour like flatbread pizza bites, barbecue pulled pork biscuits, and crab rangoons or a late night snack of mac and cheese or fries. Have a variety of non-alcoholic beverages from water to juices to soda or even a lemonade stand! And what kid doesn’t love dessert? Add a candy bar or ice cream bar for some extra sweetness to finish off the night.
