We are located just 30 miles north of Boston, Massachusetts, within a 720-acre state forest along the Ipswich River. Willowdale Estate offers a romantic backdrop for an indoor ceremony and reception. Our venue features cozy fireplaces and warm candle-lit receptions. We love to see dramatic outdoor portraits with a fresh dusting of snow. Holiday Décor from the venue is included for weddings in December and early January, making the décor effortless.

Willowdale Estate is open year-round but winter weddings can accommodate up to 125 guests. Our team takes care of the event coordination, catering, and bar service. We even include your tables, chairs, linens, and place settings!

Our weddings and events are hosted in a gorgeous 1902 Arts and Crafts-style Estate, including excellent on-site restaurant-quality Catering, and complete day-of service. If you’re looking for affordable luxury, our indoor season is an elevated yet economical choice for couples who want the very best in food and service.

Today we are celebrating our first Tent Wedding of the season. We can’t wait to see the beautiful celebrations in this space over the next six months, if you’ll be joining us at an event soon – share what month you’ll be with us in the comments!

Danielle & Keith were married in September of 2022 – and there were so many pretty portraits we had a hard time picking which ones to share! A few of our favorite details are Danielle’s floral embroidered veil, the ‘sip and be seated’ escort glasses, and the elegant tent decorated with greenery, candles and our Willow Chairs.

Our Tent Season begins this weekend, and our custom Sperry Tent is installed for the season!

What's included with an event under our Sperry Tent? Everything in this photo but the flowers! Our tented events include smooth flooring, clear tent sides, lighting, tables, white garden chairs, ivory linens, napkins, table settings, and glassware! We’ll also provide tent heaters or fans when needed, and there is a tented marquee that connects to the estate. All that to say- a few rainy event days never put a damper on our events!

Partnering with Sperry was a natural choice, and our custom tent fits in seamlessly with our fieldstone mansion. With our Sperry Tent, guests can enjoy our beautiful garden courtyard and forest backdrop while keeping guests covered and safe from the elements.

The garden courtyard at Willowdale Estate is starting to bloom!

April weddings offer a romantic atmosphere for an intimate gathering. Our indoor receptions can accommodate up to 125 guests.

Starting in May, we’ll be hosting garden ceremonies and outdoor wedding receptions in our Sperry Tent! Our private estate will still be used for cocktail hour and dessert – but the outdoor space is perfect for larger weddings between 140-240 guests.

We love this sweet flower girl portrait from Chris and Brittany’s wedding day. Our tent season is right around the corner and the garden courtyard will continue to fill in with flowering plants and trees. Our Sperry Tent will be up by the first weekend in May!

In fact, most of the guests did not even notice that the wedding was fully vegan because Willowdale did such a fantastic job at transforming some excellent crowd favorites into vegan versions of the same delights.”

Our Chef leads an expert culinary team, expressing the rich history and character of the estate through flavorful seasonal food made from scratch for each event in our on-site kitchen. If excellent food is at the top of your priority list, you’re in the right place!
