Event Trend: Farm Tables
The farm table arrived on the event scene along with mason jars and burlap decor but there are signs that this trend may be here to stay! Tables have been, and always will be, an essential part of party décor but the farm table offers a unique twist on the typical table setting. A true chameleon of party décor, the farm table feels right at home in a garden with benches, a luxury tent with upholstered chairs, or a mansion with ballroom chairs.
There are several reasons why the farm table is here to stay:
- CONTRAST: Farm Tables can create dynamic contrast to other tables with linens. Adding a farm table as a focal point for a head table, a dessert table, food station, or bar can be a great way to place emphasis on an event feature!
- CULTURE: They appeal to the farm-to-table movement. There is nothing that says celebration more than a long communal table, and farm tables have nothing but positive associations with the local food movement, family meals, and celebration.
- NEUTRAL: Farm tables are neutral and look great with many colors – similar to our tables with ivory linen, a wood farm table can look at home in most event settings, especially at a rustic private estate!
- FLEXIBLE: Dress them up, or keep it simple! Farm tables look elegant with minimal décor or elevated with runners, flowers and cascading greenery. There are hundreds of ways to customize them and guests will love the variation standard tables with a single centerpiece.
