Real Event: Baby Shower Brunch
Word is getting out that brunch is the best time of day to celebrate new beginnings, and this shower for our mom-to-be Kate is a great example of all the elements you need to celebrate a new life! Willowdale Estate provides a gathering place in our Conservatory and Great Room for baby and bridal showers on weekend mornings. Guests arrived and mingled in the Great Room and then moved to the Conservatory for food and gifts. This baby shower was photographed by our friend Ned Jackson and we were so glad that he was there to capture the beauty of light snowfall, the adorable details and the happy moments shared among family that will last a lifetime!
The details were light serenity blue color with a cool grey and although it was almost spring we had snow outside and lovely white and neutral tones kept the mood airy and light inside too. The guest tables had elegant grey napkins with centerpieces filled with white and blue flowers. We loved the mini-cake display and adorable signage for the chocolate covered pretzels “A little something salty and sweet, please grab a treat” and “Baby Boy” bunting.
Brunch is a great time to host a baby shower because you don’t have to worry very many prior commitments in the evening and of course everyone loves breakfast! At the baby shower for the Evan’s family we served yogurt parfait, orange and chocolate scones, muffins, beet and goat cheese salad, herbed scrambled eggs and applewood smoked bacon! The guests enjoyed sipping mimosas with fun grey and white striped straws.
Congratulations to another beautiful mom – we loved hosting your celebration at Willowdale Estate!
