3 Essential Items for Winter Weddings
Willowdale Estate turns into an absolute wonderland after fresh snowfall in the winter months, and, thanks to our amazing facilities team, we’re properly prepared for any ice or snow accumulation. Willowdale takes pride in being proactive about any and all weather conditions to ensure each wedding or event runs smoothly. Here are a few things to make sure you have on hand when you’re preparing for a party in a snowy season.
1 | Salt
Simple and effective. When temperatures fluctuate between freezing and thawing, it’s important to keep all walkways salted to provide a safe surface for your guests to walk to and from the event.
2 | Plow / Snow Blower
We’ve recently upgraded our company truck and plow to help with snow removal in our larger areas, like our driveway and parking lot. The snow blower is great for fine-tuning the smaller areas or creating walkways around the property to get those gorgeous outdoor shots!
3 | Generator
A generator is the most essential piece of equipment to have on site. Heat and power are crucial to any event! Having a backup generator will ensure that no amount of snow or wind will interrupt the event.

Snow boots are great for taking outdoor photos or as gifts for the wedding party!
